List / Folder View Course Menu
Blackboard allows your course menu to be displayed in two ways. Use this guide to understand how to change them.
Two views
1. The picture above shows the two different course menu views available.
List View
Displays a top-level view of course materials. This is the default and simplest view.
Folder View
Displays course materials as seen in the Course Map. This view expands to show the hierarchy of course navigation.
The views may be changed by clicking on the icons above the course name.
Changing views
2. You may set which view should be used by default for your course.
3. From your course's Control Panel, click on expand Customisation and click on Style.

4. Scroll down to section 2 Course Menu Display. Here you can set which view of the menu should be used by default and whether you will allow students to change the view to the alternate one or not.
5. Scroll to the bottom and click on Submit to finish.
