Search with Blackboard
Note: The Search function in Blackboard has been temporarily disabled whilst a technical issue is resolved.
Blackboard allows users to search for material that has been added to their courses. As an instructor you may add a Search button to your course, making it easy for students to quickly search within your course.
The search tool will look within Announcements, Course Content appearing as text within Blackboard, Staff Information, HTML pages, DOC (Microsoft Word) files, PPT (Microsoft PowerPoint) files, PDF (Adobe Acrobat) files, Wikis, and Blogs. Other types of file uploaded to Blackboard may not be searchable.
Blackboard’s search index is updated once a day. When a search is performed it will be searching content that was indexed up to 24 hours ago. Therefore you may find that content that has only recently been added to Blackboard will not be returned by a search. Please note that only "06-07" and "07-08" courses are currently indexed.
