Podcast is a word derived from Apple's I-Pod and the word broadcast. A Podcast file is usually an MP3 audio file containing speech which is playable on most computer and mp3 players.

Your Blackboard course may contain podcasts for you to download and listen to. If it has been added, a Podcast menu item will list all podcasts that your instructor has added to your course. It may also be possible for you to subscribe to the course's podcast series using aggregator software such as I-Tunes.
