Getting an Exchange Account
All new members of the University automatically have an Exchange account created for them when they subscribe to the University IT Services. You normally subscribe when you join the University, as part of your enrollment process or staff induction programme. Subscription can be done at https://subscribe.iss.soton.ac.uk/subscribe.html.
The username and password that you generate from Subscription is the same one for accessing SUSSED and for your email.
Taught Students (Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught) can simply access their email by logging into the SUSSED web portal or from www.outlook.soton.ac.uk. For more information on this web interface (called Outlook Web Access) see the relevant pages.
Staff and PGR can log into the SUSSED web portal or from www.outlook.soton.ac.uk. (For more information on this web interface (called Outlook Web Access) see the relevant pages ). They can also set up email clients such as Outlook and Entourage - see the relevant pages in the left-hand menu for the email client that you are using.
