Q. What are 'groups’?

A. Groups are online communities that you can join in SUSSED. There are various types, arranged into categories to make them easier for you to find. So, whether you want to share ideas and resources for a research project, an academic course or a sports club there are groups that you can join. Q. How can I join a ‘group’?

A. Joining a group is simple. You find the group you are interested in and click the ‘join this Group’ button. Some groups are open to all; others can only be joined if you belong to that club, research group, course etc. In this case you apply to join the group and the group leader will approve your membership application. Q. How can I form a new ‘group’?

A. If you don't find the group you are looking for you can start your own group by filling in an online form requesting permission from the administrator of the SUSSED portal. Leading a group brings with it a number of responsibilities – you should check the ‘Groups policy’ before starting one.
