Search facilities

For all but the smallest of web sites, a search facility is essential. All web sites created in the CMS (Interwoven TeamSite) will automatically have their own site search facility.

Any sites created by any other system or method on behalf of the schools, faculties, institutes or research groups of the University may also employ the iSolutions-provided search facility to gain excellent control over the indexing of their site and the manner in which search results are provided to end-users.

Schools, faculties, institutes and research groups of the University wishing to take advantage of the iSolutions-provided search engine should, in the first instance, contact ServiceLine with a brief outline of their requirements.

Individuals or clubs wanting to provide a search facility on their personal or club / society web site should take advantage of one of the many free (no software required) search services available on the Internet. While most of these services require registration, one notable exception is the Google free web search, although if you do register, you will gain more control over the way your results are presented.
