Halls of Residence Network Connections Locations

Wired Ethernet network points are installed into almost all our halls now. Wireless is not provided by the University in any of our halls. All our network points are the same "speed" and provide a 10 or 100 Mbits/s network connection.

Ethernet Network points are available in the following halls of residence:


  • Glen Eyre — All Terraces (A-J, Q-T)
  • Glen Eyre — All Richard Newitt Courts
  • Glen Eyre — All Chancellors Courts (K, L, M)
  • Brunei House
  • Beechmount Court
  • Chamberlain
  • South Hill A and B
  • Hartley Grove
  • Montefiore 1, 2, 3 and 4
  • Connaught Hall
  • Bencraft Court
  • Gower Building
  • St Margaret's House
  • Romero
  • Gateley
  • Aubrey House
  • Wolfe House
  • Erasmus Park (New for 2007 start)

Ethernet Network points are not available in the following halls:


  • Shaftesbury Avenue
  • Tasman Court


Note. Although Ethernet is not currently available in these halls Internet access is still available in the rooms via a modem (if you have one) and the Dial–up/ISDN Modem ISDN service under separate agreements (see related links).
