Laptop Loan
Laptop Loan Scheme
In partnership with the Hartley Library, iSolutions will be providing a pilot service to loan laptops for three hour periods. The laptops are loaded with Microsoft Office software and are Wireless-enabled. Unfortunately, at this point in time, the laptops cannot be taken outside the Hartley Library premises or loaned overnight.
However, the scheme offers individuals the freedom of the library study zones using the Ethernet network or using the Wireless system where users can save their notes when working from restricted journals or books. Also, students working in groups can borrow the laptop to practise presentations or create meeting notes.
Each loan package contains the following contents:-
- Dell Latitude D620 laptop
- USB mouse
- Power adaptor
- Ethernet cable
- Kensington lock
- Laptop case
- User's guide
The user guide has simple instructions to allow the user to make the laptop secure, connect to the Wireless and Ethernet networks and save work to the user's filestore.
We regret that printing from these laptops is not available under this scheme.
