Printing on Standard Printers
Some public workstations do not contain Printer-copiers (MFDs), but standard laser printers instead.
These standalone printers come with a print release station. The idea is that you send your print and then login to the print release station to release it to the printer.
sending the print from the workstation
When you are ready to print, in the software that you are using (e.g.: Word) click on the file menu in the menubar and then on print (or the software's equivalent).
I
By default, the printer in the room will be selected automatically for you (this will look different to what is shown in the diagram above) and so you do not need to select a printer.
You also have the option to send to the Printer/Copier (MFD) print queue from this workstation and go and find a printer/copier located elsewhere to release it to. In that case, you just need to select the relevant printer from the list in the diagram above (see Printing to Printer-Copiers (MFDs))

By clicking on the properties button, you can edit the print setup as you would normally do (e.g.: change the orientation to landscape if required, specify whether the print is on A4 or A3, etc, how many pages to print, how many copies, etc).
If you wish to print onto acetate: these must be purchased from a source that states that they are for bw or colour laser printers. Acetates that are not of this type may melt inside the printer while printing and cause damage to the device. Print as normally, but see further down for putting the acetate into the printer.
When you are ready to print, click on the OK (print) button. The print has now been sent down to the print queue and is waiting for you at the print release station.
Releasing the print to the printer:
If you are using acetates: Now is the time to pull out the paper tray at the bottom of the printer, and place your acetate on in the tray, on top of any paper stock that is currently in there.

Login to the print release station.

You should be presented with a list of your prints in the queue to this printer. Click on the print item to select it, and press the print button.
Note that if you wish to delete the item instead, press the delete button.

You will be asked to select your printer (even though this will be the only printer available to you). Select it and click on the OK button.
The print is has now been released to the printer and will print.
Paper:
It is inevitable that the stock of paper inside the Printer may run out while you are printing or copying. This is will not affect your printing run as the device will simply wait until you put more paper in and continue with the run.
When paper runs out, you will be prompted to put more paper in on the device's front panel screen. A stock of paper is located nearby (if it has run out, please call the ServiceLine on 25656 from the nearest phone in the Public Workstation area)
Pull out the paper tray at the bottom of the printer and fill with paper.
Push the tray firmly back into place and check that the front panel screen has gone back to normal. If it is indicating that the tray is not closed, open the tray and close it firmly again.
DO NOT put any paper other than what is supplied into the Device.
