Emails asking for passwords
The University will never ask you to give your account password in an email for any reason.
Any email asking you to provide your password by replying to the email, or clicking a link in the email, will not be from the University, no matter how real or official the message looks.
You may receive an email asking you to give your University computing account password so that your account access will continue following 'verification', 'maintenance', 'Unused account deletion’ or other such activity. These are not from the University, and must not be replied to. The emails are designed to trick you into giving away your password so the sender can get access to your account.
If you know that someone else has your account password, you should change it immediately using the Subscribe facility available from the iSolutions website home page. In these circumstances you should also reset your security questions and answers.
If you have any further questions or concerns about this then please contact ServiceLine.
Further information and advice is contained in a related news release - see under What's related on this page.
