This document outlines which staff are required to take and complete PCAP as a mandatory part of their probation

This video presentation outlines the University Requirements for PCAP and methods by which staff may be able to apply for exemption. Please note the deadline for applications for exemption has been extended since this video was produced. 

Exemption from PCAP

Staff who have three or more years teaching experience may be eligible for exemption from PCAP. There are a number of different application routes for exemption according to the specific experience of individuals. Any staff with three or more years teaching experience should contact Paul Riddy for individual advice on the options available to them to apply for exemption.

Accreditation of Prior Learning Towards PCAP

Staff who already have some qualifications in learning and teaching may be able to use these as APL towards the PCAP. Any staff considering applying for APL for PCAP should contact Paul Riddy for individual advice on the options available to them.
