Post Graduate Students
If you are involved in teaching or demonstrating, you may be eligible to participate in the PILT (Post-Graduate Induction to Learning and Teaching).
In addition you can:
- Participate in CPD sessions organised by your Faculty (see the appropriate Graduate School web pages for information - links on right).
- Participate in suitable CPD sessions run by LATEU, or the Staff Development Unit, with the agreement of your manager or supervisor.
- Attend or participate in the Good Practice Lunches or Learning and Teaching Week (if you have specific ideas for either please contact LATEU).
- Attend appropriate external events – some suggestions are listed on our website, and see the network pages on the Higher Education Academy website for your subject area.

Information for postgraduate research students
In addition to Schools’ own web-based information for their postgraduate research students, the Student Resources Network (SRN) provides links to useful documents such as the Regulations for Higher Degrees, the Code of Practice for Research Candidature and Supervision, and the Completion of Research Degree Candidature booklet.
