Beginning a Career in Academia

This half-day workshop includes presentations from the tutor and group based activities. After the session participants should be able to:

  • Review the career opportunities available in academia
  • Identify the main criteria for appointment of a lecturer
  • Consider strategies to improve their experience and CV in order to apply for a lecturer position

Level 1: for post-doctoral and other staff considering a career as a lecturer.
