Teaching Diverse Student Groups (Inclusivity)

The overarching aims of the workshop are:

  • to increase awareness of inclusion and facilitate the planning and development of inclusive teaching practices within Schools and Faculties;
  • to increase confidence in and commitment to influencing inclusion-related policy and practice across the University;
  • to encourage collaboration across Schools and services in relation to developing inclusive teaching practices.

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:

  • Define inclusive teaching, learning and assessment in the context of their own individual practice and their respective Schools and Faculties
  • Identify aspects of teaching and learning support that may need to be addressed in relation to developing inclusive teaching practices within Schools or Faculties
  • Explore the potential opportunities and barriers that may exist in relation to addressing the identified aspects of teaching and learning support
