Using Computer Assisted Assessment

This event covers the use of online tests and exams to assess learning and provide detailed feedback to tutors and students.

The morning (10.00 – 12.00) will discuss the use of Blackboard and Questionmark Perception to deliver multiple-choice questions for formative and summative assessment, as well as the elements of good question design. In the afternoon (2.00 – 4.00) we will look at the online submission of assignments and the use of the Turnitin service to detect and deter plagiarism.

There will also be a drop-in session over lunch (12.30 – 1.30) to provide a general introduction to computer-assisted assessment – no need to book.

Level 1: for all teaching staff.
