Dr Alexandros X.M. Ntovas, presents paper at the European Society of International Law Conference

Dr Ntovas, Lecturer at the University of Southampton Law School and Member of the Institute of Maritime Law, delivered a paper at the 10th Anniversary Conference of the European Society of International Law, which took place in Vienna on 4-6 September 2014 and it was hosted by the University of Vienna; organised by its Law School’s Section for International Law and International Relations in cooperation with the European Society of International Law.

The conference featured plenary sessions, fora with invited speakers, and a number of agorae with speakers selected on the basis of calls for papers and after a strict peer-reviewed procedure. His paper on ‘Structural Semantics and the International Court of Justice’ was presented in the agora of International Law and Linguistics, convened by Professor Nico Krisch (Institut Barcelona D’Estudis Internacionals) and Dr Maksymillian Del Mar (Queen Mary University of London). This is the third consecutive time that a paper by Dr Ntovas is selected for presentation in the European Society of International Law. In November 2013 he delivered a paper at the first ASIL/ESIL Joint Conference for environmental law, and in September 2012 at the 5th Biennial General Conference of the Society.
