Students from the Southampton Law School clinched first prize at the Southern regional mooting finals in March. The competition, was sponsored by 3PB, a top 30 ranked UK Chambers.

Lucie Taylor, Tom Davies, Jason Yan Zixiang and Harry Roffey’s combined performance secured Southampton's position at the top of the competition. The event, which took place over a whole day in Winchester, saw them outshine teams from Winchester, Portsmouth and Bournemouth universities in four separate rounds, handling tough questioning from the judges with precision and aplomb.

They had earned their place at the competition after a month of selection rounds that began in February, giving a performance on the day properly befitting of Southampton's proud mooting traditions.

Tom Davies and Jason Yan Zixiang also deserve further congratulation for winning the “Best Individual Team” award for a performance described by one judge as "astounding". The prize has earned them both mini-pupillages with 3PB Barristers.
