What can I borrow and for how long?

From 16:00 you may borrow overnight, or on a Friday for the entire weekend. Items borrowed for the overnight or weekend loan will be due for return by 10:00 the next day (10:00 on Monday for the weekend loan).
Note: film videos and DVDs are generally reference only and cannot be borrowed. They are for use in the Library where a viewing can beĀ booked.
Where do I return Avenue reserve items?
All items borrowed from the Avenue Library must be returned to the Avenue Library within the loan period specified. Please hand the items for return directly to the staff at the loans desk.
Books may be returned when the Library is closed by posting them through the book returns slot in the door to the reading room. This slot must only be used when the Library is closed.
Note: books borrowed from other Library sites cannot be returned to the Avenue Library.
What if I return a reserve item late?
If you do not return Reserve Collection items on time, your Library card will be blocked for one week. This means you will be prevented from borrowing any material from any of the University Library sites.
If you have any problems in returning a reserve item on time please contact staff at the Avenue Library immediately.
