How long can I borrow books for?

The standard loan period for a book is three weeks, however some more popular items may be borrowed for only one week, or  two days. Books in the Reserve Collection can only be borrowed for three hours at a time.

However, 3 week loan items can be recalled. If one of your books is recalled by someone else then you must return it to the Loans Desk within a week - even if you've only just had it issued to you.

You can, if no-one else requires it, renew your book using WebCat (as long as you have your University Usename and Password or Library card number and PIN).

You can always check the "due date" of your book on the catalogue.
