What does "stack" mean?

"Stack" is a call number prefix that means the book is a particularly old or valuable item.

"Stack" books are kept in secure shelving, accessible only to Library staff. You can get access to these items by requesting them using WebCat via the 'Requests:Inter-library loan & Stack' option.

The book will then be collected on your behalf by a member of Library staff.

Items are collected at 09:00 Monday - Friday and are held at the Loans Desk.
