Hartley Library opening hours
Opening and loans desk hours are tailored at each site to suit the needs of the local users. The Library remains open throughout the year, however opening hours are often reduced during vacations to reflect the lower demand on services.
SmartCard access
To facilitate the extended opening hours, the Hartley Library has formally introduced the SmartCard access system. You will therefore need your University SmartCard ID to be able to enter the Library at any time.
All student ID cards should already be SmartCards - however some staff may need to upgrade theirs.
* Self-service loans
The loans hours quoted below, refer to the staffed loans service. The Hartley Library also has self-service loans units that operate throughout opening hours, enabling you to both issue and return items yourself.
