UK Libraries Plus borrowing extended to all postgraduates

UK Libraries Plus, the borrowing scheme for distance and part-time students, has been extended to include all postgraduates.

What is UK Libraries Plus?

"UK Libraries Plus is a co-operative venture between most of the UK's higher education libraries. It enables part-time, distance learning, full time postgraduate and placement students to borrow material from other libraries.

"In addition, there is a provision for full-time undergraduate students and for staff to use other libraries on a reference only basis.

"Membership is open to all publicly funded higher education institutions in the UK and most are now members." - UK Libraries Plus website.

What's new?

The scheme has now been extended to all full time postgraduate students, so that they can use UK Libraries Plus for borrowing from other libraries. Most libraries in UK Libraries Plus are taking part in this pilot

The scheme previously only allowed access to borrow to part-time, distance learning and placement students. However, all staff and full-time students can use the UK Libraries Plus scheme to access other libraries on a reference-only basis.
