ACLS History E-Book Project

The Library has obtained access to over 1000 books in all fields of history selected by scholars from the American Council of Learned Societies, published from the 1820's to date, fully searchable, with 250 new books added a year.

"The ACLS History E-Book Project is a collaboration of eight learned societies, sixty contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office. The result is an online, fully searchable collection of high-quality books in history, recommended and reviewed by historians and featuring unlimited multi-user access and free, downloadable MARC records. The Project is available 24/7 on- and off-campus through standard web browsers. The ACLS History E-Book Project was initially funded by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation." - ACSL History E-Books Website
