Changes to Level 5 of Hartley Library
In order to accommodate members of the Optoelectronics Research Centre displaced by the fire in the Mountbatten Building, part of level 5 of the Hartley Library is being refitted as office accommodation. This is one of a number of steps being taken to support those affected by the fire.
The two small rooms on level 5 at the southernmost part of the Turner Sims reading room will not be accessible to readers from Wednesday, 30 November. The books currently housed in those rooms are being reshelved elsewhere on level 5, with work beginning on Monday 28 November.
We anticipate that moving the books will take around a week. We apologise for the disruption that these changes will cause in the Library.
