Laptop loans
ISS and the Library have launched a laptop loan pilot scheme based in the Hartley Library. The scheme enables students and staff to borrow a laptop (actually a package of a laptop and associated items) for a period of 3 hours for use within the Hartley Library. If the scheme proves popular it may be extended to other Library sites.
Full information on the scheme is available in the Laptop Loan User Guide.
Borrowing a laptop
- Laptops are held at the Hartley Library Loans Desk
- Laptops are available for loan when the Loans Desk is open
- The loan period is 3 hours (Short Loan)
- Loans at the end of the day may be shorter than 3 hours. Laptops must be returned to the Loans Desk 30 minutes before the Loans Desk closes
- Laptops are for use within the Hartley Library. They cannot be removed from the building at any time
- Late return will result in a block preventing further borrowing for 7 days (same as reserve collection and 24 hour loan items)
- You are responsible for the safety and security of the laptop whilst on loan to you
