News release
From the University Library
30 June 2008
Summer moves 23 June - 31 August 2008
To prepare for the transfer of collections from the Biomedical Sciences Library in 2009, the Hartley Library is re-organising some areas of stock. The main area affected is Level 1, but all floors may see some minor moves.
While we will aim to keep any disturbance to a minimum, we apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and would recommend that other floors are used for study purposes.
On Level 1 the following work will take place throughout the summer:
- Current Periodical collection will be disbanded
- Periodicals offered to the UK Research Reserve will be extracted
- Back runs of periodicals will consolidated to release space for additional seating (Per A area)
- Map Library will be installed beside microfiche/microfilm area
- Teaching practice library will move to release space for additional seating
On Level 3 there is some movement of stock in the Law area.
On Level 5 there is some re-organising of stock (PN-PQ ) to accommodate the current collection.
Updates will be posted as work is completed. Thank you for your co-operation.
