Study days

For people who have less time to commit to a longer course or who are beginning to explore an interest in a particular topic, we also hold regular, one-day cultural events consisting of a series of short talks on a particular theme that are led by experts from within the University.

We are pleased to be offering a wide selection of study days in 2016/2017, which are open to all. These days tend to focus on a broad range of topics and issues surrounding a subject or person, and consist of a series of short talks led by experts from within the relevant department. Discussion and debate are a feature of study days, so we like to keep the groups small and informal to encourage interaction. Book early to avoid disappointment!

The days run from 10:00 to 16:00 (usually at the Avenue campus) and include a buffet-style lunch and refreshments. There is always plenty of opportunity to ask questions and engage with the topics, and the lecturers open the floor to questions with the intention of stimulating discussion and debate with the audience.
