In this latest webcast, Wounds International supports the themes of the Stop The Pressure Campaign, focusing on the important role of support surfaces in our global efforts to reduce pressure ulcer incidence

Professor Keith Harding is joined by Professor Dan Bader, Professor of Bio-engineering and Tissue Health at Southampton University in the UK. Dan is one of the leading researchers in his field and is widely published on the topic.

In this first presentation, Professor Dan Bader will look at why tissue breaks down – the impact of pressure, shear and microclimate on skin health — and the importance of using an effective support surface

He also looks at what we should look for when considering what type of support surface to select for our patients to optimise care.
