Event details

Eleanor Turner introduces Harp CI, a project by herself and Balandino Di Donato.

Developed at Birmingham Conservatoire, where Eleanor is Head of Harp and Balandino is finishing his PhD, Harp CI uses the Myo armband and Balandino's own MyoSpat software for sound spatialisation and effects, controlled simply by the performer's gestures, for the purpose of creating a more connected emotional experience with the audience where technologies assist but do not overwhelm, interrupt or undermine the music and the performance.

Eleanor will give a pre-concert talk at 12pm and, following the 1pm concert, will be leading a workshop open to students from across the university – public are welcome to attend.

Free admission.
