The interaction of the nervous system with nanoparticles
Preparing primary cell culture
Injury to the central nervous system is largely irreparable, and often has devastating consequences for the individual. I am interested in developing our understanding of the consequences of exposing the central nervous system to nanoparticles. We are currently investigating the fate and impact of both engineered and anthropogenic particles. Alongside using conventional techniques we are also developing a novel model system for the study of organized neurons in vitro.
