Environment public lecture series

Changing the world for the better is the University of Southampton’s mission. Following the success of the University’s first public lecture series in 2016, which demonstrated how our world-leading research impacts on medical policy and practice, our 2017 series focuses on global environment and sustainability issues, illustrating our influence in the sector.

You will explore a range of critical issues affecting our planet such as food security, climate and clean energy, debate the intricacies of these topics with leading experts, and learn how Southampton is instrumental in shaping opinions and processes to ensure a sustainable future.

The lecture topics will be:

July Sustainable cities
September Food security
