AHRC Postgraduate Studentships
In 2009 the AHRC changed the way that it allocated funds for doctoral study. The University of Southampton was successful in applying for a Block Grant Partnership (BGP), a series of awards allocated to various subjects within Humanities over a five-year period.
The School will advertise these awards on an annual basis. The next funding round will take place in 2011.
Further information can be found on our Postgraduate funding pages or, alternatively, contact our Postgraduate team (pghums@soton.ac.uk).
World Universities Network
The University of Southampton is also a member of the World Universities Network, which, through the Global Exchange Programme (GEP), provides scholarships to facilitate staff and postgraduate student exchange between the WUN partner institutions. The aim of the scheme is to increase the opportunities of young researchers and postgraduate students to engage in international collaborative research and to experience different research environments. The scheme also contributes to the development of networks and longer term research links with WUN partners in the United States, China and Europe. Further information on this scheme.
