Philosophy PG Student Receives Postgraduate Supervisor of the Year Award

Published: 11 April 2016

We are proud and thrilled to report that our postgraduate student Ryan Harvey has won this year's Postgraduate Supervisor of the Year Award at Southampton.

Competition this year was extremely tough, with Humanities alone receiving over 100 long-list nominations for the award. It recognizes Ryan's excellent student feedback and the quality of the nominations he received from students. Major congratulations to Ryan for the outstanding work that earned him this most impressive award!

Philosophy received other nominations that came very close to winning awards.  Dr. Fiona Woollard was nominated for Outstanding Lecturer of the Year and was then shortlisted for the award, finishing third place in the Faculty of Humanities overall.  Dr. Kurt Sylvan was also nominated and then shortlisted for the Outstanding Feedback award.  Congratulations also to Fiona and Kurt!
