The Limits to Privacy

The Limits to Privacy is a cross-disciplinary workshop exploring ideas about privacy in the recent past and contemporary world. Violations of privacy versus the legitimate exposure of information are defining terms of current public and political debate. This workshop will explore the historical and recent developments of these ideas, asking to what extent our understandings of the personal and public have been redrawn over the past 100 years. We are seeking papers and contributions that build on recent research or offer new conceptual reflections on the boundaries of privacy, personal and social life.
