The University accepts payment by various methods, although we encourage you to pay your fees online if you can, before arriving in Southampton and preferably once online enrolment has been completed. You can pay online at www.webpayments.soton.ac.uk.
Third parties paying the personal element of fees on behalf of a student can make payment at www.webpayments.soton.ac.uk.
If your fees are paid by other sources
If you have funding from other sources e.g. Research Council, employer, foreign Embassy/Government etc., you must provide the University with a copy of your official letter of sponsorship. You should carefully check your sponsor details when you enrol and, if they are incorrect, download and complete the Fees Office sponsorship notification form SP1.
If you fail to provide full sponsorship details by 3rd October 2011, you will be asked to pay the full fee. Fees paid by Research Councils, SLC and the NHS are paid in accordance with government guidelines. All other sponsors will receive an invoice. These fees are due within 30 days of the date of the invoice and the discount does not apply in such cases.
The liability to pay fees will be transferred to you if the named sponsor subsequently fails to pay the fees. You should log into your own personal University financial account on a regular basis to track all payments made on your behalf and view all charges assigned to sponsors at www.webpayments.soton.ac.uk.
If you are unsure of how to pay your fees please contact the Student Services Centre (SSC) on ssc@soton.ac.uk.
