Student Profile: John Salmon (31)
John completed a BA Sports Studies with Business and worked as a personal trainer, before coming to Southampton to study for a PG Dip Nursing (Mental Health), funded through a bursary.
“Studying at Southampton has given me the opportunity and the tools I need to realise my goals. Support is readily available for every aspect of my professional development, and I am encouraged to explore as many different study methods as I need. I hope to create a clear link between my undergraduate studies and nursing, using my sports and fitness experience in an approved clinical environment to help young offenders rehabilitate and reintegrate into society.”
