The DClinP is suitable if you are an experienced health and social care practitioner and wish to pursue a high-level career in clinical practice, and to lead innovative, evidence-based practice. The programme is run in partnership with the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research. It comprises a structured, modular, taught component (one-third) and an original piece of research (two-thirds).

Optional modules from: University portfolio of master’s programmes
Plus: Doctorial thesis (45,000–50,000 words)
Key facts
Entry requirements: Upper second-class honours degree or higher in a relevant subject and/or a higher degree in a health related subject (or equivalent), plus a health professional qualification leading to registration with the appropriate professional body; and minimum 3 years’ relevant clinical/professional practice
Duration: 3–4 years (full-time); 4–7 years (part-time)
Assessment: Each module is assessed independently and some may link directly to your research project. The research project is assessed by thesis (45,000-50,000 words) with viva voce
