Visiting the University

Visiting the University is a perfect opportunity to find out what it’s really like to live and study here.

Academic School visits

Academic School visits

Subject-specific Open Days, give you the opportunity to visit the Academic School running your chosen course

Independent visits allow you to tour the University at your own pace and are possible at any time. We suggest that you contact individual departments, prior to arriving, to see if there are any suitable opportunities to visit them on your chosen date.

To do this, please contact the Academic School directly. Or contact the University switchboard on +44 (0)23 8059 5000 and ask for the department you wish to visit.

Walking tour

A Walking Tour leaflet of the main Highfield Campus is available from University main reception (Building 37) and from the Students' Union reception desk (Building 40). Or you can download it here:

Audio podcasts

We have produced eleven podcasts that combine to form an audio tour of the Highfield Campus, together with an overview of our other campuses. The podcasts are designed to be played on a mobile device such as an iPod or MP3 player, and are best used in conjunction with a Highfield Campus Map. You can obtain a hard copy map from University Reception in Building 37.
