Appraisal Training
We recommend all staff complete the appropriate appraisal training on Blackboard (either “Academic Appraisal Training” for ERE staff at Levels 4 - 7 or “Appraisal Training for MSA, CAO and TAE staff at Levels 4 - 7). Additional training is also available in the Management Pocketbook, Managing Your Appraisal.
There is also half day skills workshop entitled “Maximising Contribution”. This focuses on the key skills required to improve the effectiveness of 121 meetings and appraisal discussions; setting clear objectives, providing balanced, fair and accurate feedback, and having effective performance conversations.

Level 1-3 Staff
Level 1-3 staff in the MSA, CAO and TAE job families should continue using the annual Personal Performance and Development Review (PPDR) process, and the hard copy PPDR form.
