Tips to Save you Time

Queue Busters
For the first three weeks of the academic year, queue busters are available in the atrium to ensure that you are in the right place for your enquiry to be dealt with, and if not to direct you to where you need to be.  The queue busters can take in forms and can check that they have been filled in correctly and assist you with online queries such as enrolling and make payments.

Separate ID Queue
For the first few weeks of the academic year, there is a separate queue for ID queries.  This is located at the far end of the main desk and is signposted.  (please note that all new student ID cards will be issued by your School Office and will not be available for collection from the SSC).

Need a new ID Card?
If you need a new ID card for any reason, you will need to complete a Replacement ID Form which can be downloaded from the ID website.  This must be signed and stamped by your School Office before we can make the new card.   There will be a £10 charge for lost cards and if paying in cash, this must be done in the Income Office before 4.00pm.

Appointments
If you have an appointment to see a Finance Advisor or the Needs Assessment Centre, please report straight to the Reception Desk (located to the right of the main doors).  The receptionist will inform the relevant service that you are here and there will be no need for you to join the main queue.

Forms
You can save time by downloading and completing forms before visiting the Student Services Centre.  If you are a current student you can find a range of forms by logging into SUSSED and clicking on the Downloads Tab which is linked through the Resources section of the Student Resources Network.   If you are handing in a form, you can leave it in our secure post box located at the end of the queue.  This box is checked daily.

Pay Online
If you are paying your fees by credit or debit card, this can be done online through the webpayments website.

Cash Payments
Cash payments cannot be taken at the front desk and must be paid at the Income Office (located past the computer terminals, up the stairs, and to the right). The Income Office is open from 9.00am – 4.00pm.

Are you in the right place?
Please note that there are some enquiries that the Student Services Centre are unable to deal with:

  • Council Tax Exemption Letters – provided by your School Office
  • Address Letters for Banks – provided by your School Office
  • Lost Property – please go the Student Services Centre Reception Desk
