Everyone knows fossil fuels are running out, but did you also know that world energy consumption is predicted to rise by a further 70% of current levels by 2030? How can this be?

This talk and chaired debate will explore the increasing demand for energy and limits on current energy sources, with their associated CO2 emissions. The focus will be on how renewable/low carbon energy and new technologies can be employed in the future.

Why is this important?

Fossil fuels are running out, and they produce lots of CO2. What are the alternatives and when may they be the reality?
