UK households throw away the equivalent of 3½ million double-decker buses each year (almost 30 million tonnes). These buses would stretch to Australia and back!

This talk and chaired debate will explore the currently popular ways that waste is managed in the UK – the good, the bad and the not very pretty! The focus will be on how better methods and new technologies can be used in the future.

Why this is important

It’s our waste, shouldn’t we deal with it properly, so that the earth and people in the future don’t suffer because of us?
