MEng Aeronautics & Astronautics / European Studies

Design an aircraftThe structure of this programme is similar to the MEng Aeronautics & Astronautics course, but the fourth year is spent abroad at a European University, normally in France or Germany. You will be taught in the native language and will study a range of taught modules and will also undertake some projects. We therefore advise students to take additional language modules (informally) as a means of maintaining or improving their language skills. In Year 3 you will study a mandatory module in your chosen European language (currently French or German) which must be passed in order for you to be eligible to study abroad in your final year.

If you have a good basic knowledge of either French or German (equivalent to GCSE at A grade) and your career objectives are focused on engineering in a broader European context, this programme could be ideally suited to you. Many of the graduates who have completed this programme have gone on to develop careers in mainland Europe.
