Event details

Do you have an idea for a social enterprise project that will empower local people in Southampton? Would you like the chance to turn your idea into a reality with help from social enterprise experts?

Register now for the Social Enterprise Challenge!

The Social Impact Lab has teamed up with Enactus Southampton to bring you the Social Enterprise Challenge - a two day social enterprise competition to find new project ideas which will improve life in Southampton.

On 13 - 14 February, we will help you transform your idea into a real social venture, which you can pitch for your chance to win a place in the Enactus project incubator!

You don't need an idea to take part, just an enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference in the local community!

How does it work?

Registration: Register here by the 9th February for your place in the Challenge. You don’t need a project idea to register, just an enthusiasm for social enterprise and a desire to make a difference!

Day One: You will work in student teams to develop social enterprise ideas with help from our experts, who will guide you through things like prototyping, ideation and measuring social impact.

Day Two: During the day, you will have free time to work on your project ideas in your teams. In the evening, you will have the chance to to pitch your idea to a panel of experts at our evening awards ceremony, where one idea will be selected to enter Enactus Southampton's Project Innovation Incubator. Food and drink will be provided throughout the weekend.

The challenge is open to students from any subject area and year of study.
