Entry requirements

This information is for general guidance only; entry requirements vary for different courses. For more specific details, please visit the relevant course web page or contact the admissions office for your chosen subject area.

Foundation year entry requirements

If you do not have the traditional entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, you may be able to qualify by doing one of our foundation programmes first. To find out more, visit our foundation years page or contact the International Office team.

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

UK A levels with grades from BBB to A*AA 
International Baccalaureate (IB) with grades from 30 to 38
Bevis for Hojere Forberedelseseksamen or Bevis for Studentereksamen with overall grade of minimum 10/12 and subject specific grades ranging from 7 to 12 in Level A subjects
Bevis for Hojere Handelseksamen (HHX) and Bevis for Hojere Teknisk Eksamen (HTX) may be considered on a case by case basis

Postgraduate entry requirements

Masters programmes Bachelors degree / Professionbackelor (awarded after 2000) / Eksanmenbrevis (started from 2001), achieving grades 7 - 10 out of 12 or 8 out of 13.
UK 1st equivalent: 11 out of 13 (prior to 2007) / 10 - 12 out of 12
UK 2.1 equivalent: 8 out of 13 (prior to 2007) / 7 - 10 out of 12
PhD programmes Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university, and a strong research proposal

English language entry requirements

You will need to be able to demonstrate the required level of English language proficiency. Find out more about our English language requirements and support.

Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are many societies run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) for different interests, religions, sports and academic groups.
