Strengthening Capacity in Demography in Southern Africa

Southampton’s centre for Global Health Population Poverty and Policy (GHP3) is involved in a partnership of six universities that aims to enhance the institutional and academic capacities of higher education institutions in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). It is strengthening undergraduate and postgraduate demographic training, and promoting inter-institutional networking to develop long-term co-operation and collaborative research.

Dr Amos Channon (Social Statistics & Demography) is the Project Coordinator. Partners are the University of Botswana, University of Malawi, University of Zambia, University of Namibia, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
