The Southampton Marine & Maritime Institute (SMMI) will be representing the University of Southampton at the 2016 Seawork International conference, taking place 14-16 June in the UK.

Seawork International is Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition, providing ‘buyers, legislators and influencers with direct access to the commercial marine and workboat market, its products, its innovations and its people’.

This year’s three-day event is located on home-turf, at Mayflower Park in Southampton. SMMI team members Dr Simon Gerrard and Julie Osborn will attend the Wednesday afternoon session.

“We are keen to engage with as many delegates as possible,” says Dr Gerrard, who is the SMMI Industry Liaison Manager. “Please do come and say hello, and discuss with us how we can help your business, whether through joint research, innovation or training.”

The University’s stand will be located alongside the Shipbuilders and Shiprepairers Association (SSA) stand. Follow our experiences of the conference via our Twitter feed, and via the conference hashtags: #seawork and #commercialmarine.
