Connecting with business

The Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute (SMMI) and British Marine are holding the event 'Power your business through research, development and innovation' on 8 March 2017 at the University of Southampton.

Economic growth and business success depends on knowledge. As our economy becomes more knowledge based the need for research, development and innovation increases. This can be knowledge about manufacturing processes, product development, service provision or marketing and communication. Linking with a university makes a great deal of sense, but making this happen can be daunting, time consuming and unfathomable.

SMMI and British Marine have joined forces to enable businesses to connect with the right experts and simplifies the process of accessing expertise, facilities and equipment. This event, intended for technical and finance directors, will explain the latest opportunities for accessing our expertise ranging from no-cost, low risk student projects to collaborative grant-aided research and bespoke consultancy. Hear from businesses that have benefitted from engagement with SMMI and gain a better understanding of the opportunities for your business.
