Professorial Fellow in English features on BBC Radio 4's Book of the Week

RISINGTIDEFALLINGSTAR, the new book by Professorial Fellow in English Philip Hoare, is this week’s Book of the Week on BBC Radio 4.

The book, which was published on Thursday 13 July by Harper Collins, explores our ongoing fascination with the shoreline, and takes watery journeys from Provincetown to Portsmouth.

It is inspired in part by Philip’s daily morning swims here in Southampton, where he teaches modules on narrative non-fiction, and the relationship between writing and place.
