It is a very challenging time for social workers
People entering the profession need to receive the best education and training available to enable them to protect children and vulnerable adults.
We have the knowledge and experience to train the next generation of social workers, but we recognise that there is more to the job than academic ability. The University of Southampton links with many external organisations to secure placements, so that our students can learn first-hand the realities of practice with local authorities, charities and other organisations.
We welcome approaches from groups and individuals who want to work with our experienced academics in Social Work or offer training places to our students.
